I really leaned into the concept that Billy Joel is a “hometown hero”. The song booklet acts as a montage that pays respect to the “New York ethos” and acts as a sing-along (because it’s practically a crime to not know the lyrics to Billy Joel songs if you live in New York). New York really is a state of mind.
