I developed a branding system for our weekly "Wednesday Words of Wisdom" posts on Family Circle's Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram pages. The system gave these posts consistency and cohesion, yet still had enough variation for flexibility and playfulness in color, type, and composition.
The magazine's 2016 re-design called for a re-evaluation of the look and feel of social media posts. I watched metrics closely to determine the kind of content and visuals our followers most reacted to and I designed accordingly through trial and error. I had played an early role in the social strategy of the brand's social media presence.

Animated GIFS for Family Circle's social media pages.
I started to teach myself how to make these right as GIFS were starting to become a major part of social interaction for brands and social media users. GIFS are so much fun to share and make!

I wanted to go with a "fresh" approach for this story since it was featured in Family Circle's 2017 September issue. The art team was looking to push the boundaries of the brand for this issue, and this edgy approach was a fun way to break out of our normal conventions for a health story.

I chose to work with Greg Kletsel for this story because I felt that his style of illustration lended itself to teen snacks in a fun way. His style has that quirky, yet accessible feel that makes these sophisticated snacks approachable for both parents and teens. This story was featured in the September 2017 issue, which granted an opportunity to push the visual boundaries of a food story.

New York really is a state of mind. In this personal project, I created a box set collection that conveys the "New York attitude" through the juxtaposition of varying New York scenes. The collection's catalog is a singalong to Joel's A New York State of Mind to evoke the sense of pride and nostalgia that people have when hearing his music.

The Olympics are a joyous time where people of all cultures come together to celebrate athletic accomplishment. The star is a patriotic symbol that captivates the vibrant spirit of both the Olympics and Boston through its upward motion, and each point of the star is different in shape and color to symbolize the diversity of those individuals who unite every two years to participate in the Olympic games.
The color palette is patriotic, bold, and celebratory to complement Boston’s rich history, while also highlighting the vibrant and triumphant spirit of the Olympics.
Honest By is one of the first fashion brands to be 100% honest with its consumers about who, what, where, and how their clothes are made. Most of their clothing are elegantly designed with vegan or recycled materials. Honest By is high fashion and forward-thinking.
My final branding solution juxtaposed the idea of 100% transparency with the idea that prices are calculated fairly and honestly. Thus, the brand is a needle, thread, and buttons, in the appearance of a percentage symbol. One button is rotated and smaller in scale to convey the idea that the company moves forward through innovation.
Some work I did for fun and for passion. I shared them with the public before the march for anyone in need of a poster.
This is a reel of some hand-drawn animations I created for fun. I really enjoyed exploring the techniques of hand-drawn animation, especially because of the potential for surprise and spontaneaty in the artistic process. I hope to work with more animation in the future.
